In Yassi’s green smoothie, the sweetness of the extra-ripe pear is the perfect thing to balance out the bitter taste of the kale. Meanwhile, the mint and parsley add a fresh herbal flavour into the mix. Frozen pineapple provides coolness, and contains bromelain that reduces inflammation and aids in digestion. Finally, the lemon juice gives the smoothie a sour tang, and the Vitamin C allows your body to absorb the iron from the greens.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 8-10 leaves Lacinato kale (dino kale????)
- ¼ cup parsley leaves
- 6-10 mint leaves
- 1 very ripe pear
- 1 lemon’s worth of juice
- 2 cups frozen pineapple
- *Optional* add a scoop of protein powder to keep you full for longer
Method:
Simply combine all ingredients in the blender (water first) and mix until you reach a smooth consistency.
